The industry's oldest magic trick
Watch any pick-selling operation long enough and you’ll see the moves: the 15-2 “documented run” that starts counting after a 3-9 stretch; the losses that quietly vanish from the feed; the “5-unit MAX LOCK” system where wins are always max plays in the retelling; the fresh account every winter. None of this is illegal. All of it is the reason nobody trusts this industry — and the reason this site was built backwards from everyone else.
Our four rules (the whole system)
1. Every pick posts before first pitch — timestamped where we can’t edit history. 2. Every result grades the next morning — sweeps and faceplants in the same font. 3. Flat one unit forever — no lock-tiers, no unit games, so the win-loss number MEANS something (why unit-juggling is the tell). 4. Nothing gets deleted. The Verified Record is append-only by principle: our 0-3 days will live there as long as our sweeps.
Why free changes the incentives
Paid picks sell certainty, and certainty requires hiding variance. Free picks can afford honesty: our product is the process itself — reasoning shown, prices referenced, results audited — and the audience it earns is one that understands what a price means and judges records by real samples. If that’s smaller than the fire-emoji crowd, good. It’s the crowd worth building for.
